What about hosting?

I’ll admit it - I knew nothing about hosting. My husband runs his own business but I’ve always kept my nose out of the technical stuff! I look at his website from the front end but how he got stuff up there remained a complete mystery.
The whole concept of affiliate marketing revolves around maintaining websites so I knew if I wanted to do that then I had to get my feet wet - and not only that but make my own decisions rather than him telling me what I should do. Girl Power!
So when I was trying to make my mind up about what I wanted I wrote down a few essentials:
- ability to host multiple websites from one account - no need for separate hosting
- it needed to be relatively inexpensive (i’ve been made redundant remember)
- it needed to have fantastico or install WordPress
So my needs were small really. I came across best-uk-webhosting.com and Hostpapa.co.uk scored highest in their review. I looked at Hostpapa’s website, thought they looked OK for what I wanted and signed up.
Now knowing what I know now Best-uk-webhosting.com is probably an affiliate site and they probably earn commission from everyone in the list. But I can only speak as I find. For me Hostpapa have been great.

I have had to contact support a couple of times - now these are for issues that are entirely of my own making because I have complete ditzy tendancies every now and again. But I’ve tried emailing, logging a support request via the ticket system, online chat and telephone (that sounds like alot of ditzy moments when I write it like that) but they have all been really successful, particularly Adam!
So far - after three months of hosting with them I haven’t noticed any downtime and haven’t had any problems at all (well none caused by Hostpapa anyhow!)
So if you are looking for something relatively straightforward and simple, then I have no hesitation in recommending them.
